Regional Safety Health Environmental & Quality Manager - M+E
A fantastic immediate opportunity for a strong and determined Health and Safety professional to be part of a team within a leading multi-sector M+E construction company across London and the South-East. Working on some of the most exciting and prestigious projects in the region as well as fast paced smaller projects, a challenging role for an organised and committed SHEQ Manager.
Based from North London you will need to be in a commutable distance to Hertfordshire, Hampshire and Essex. Projects will also be London based. Responsible for managing your own diary , and based in North London for 1 day per week you will undertake visits to two other regional offices whilst having responsibility covering projects across the region. The role will provide support to three Regional Directors in implementing the Group SHEQ Policy and targets and advising on all aspects of SHEQ for full compliance. Accident and Incident investigation and Reporting, review and updating of SHEQ Training, regular audits, responsibility for sub-contractor management, preparation of risk assessments and method statements, assist in setting annual SHEQ objectives and targets for the region
You CV must demonstrate previous experience of working across high value (average £6m+) M + E Construction projects; ideally schools, hospitals, industrial builds, leisure centres etc. Candidates will be considered with a strong mechanical or electrical trade background too if they possess Health and Safety experience.
You must possess excellent written, communication, and man-management skills and have previously worked successfully with operational teams at all levels. The ability to work successfully under pressure within a challenging and demanding role balanced with a flexible team spirit will be advantageous along with evidence in your CV of coaching, engaging and leading a team.
Candidates must hold a Nebosh General and or Nebosh Construction (NCRQ or equivalent) and have a minimum of 5 years hands on practical Health and Safety experience within an M+E Background. Ideally you will have knowledge across quality but this is desirable not essential. Candidates with Diploma level (NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma or equivalent) or a Lead/Internal Quality Auditor qualification or working towards will be at an advantage.
