Environmental Advisor role at leading Construction Contractor, travel required on multiple projects, £35K
Your new company
Our client is a leading Construction Contractor with business and projects all over the UK. In order to expand their SHEQ Department, they are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the SHEQ Director, you will play a key role in the organisation, maintenance and coordination of the Environmental management system.
On daily basis you will maintain environment procedures and practices for the reporting, recording and monitoring environmental incidents observations; you will assess training needs, Environmental awareness training or arrange for a competent training provider; you will provide periodic updates and communication on environmental performance to the senior Management team; you will promote employee participation in identifying environmental issues and improvements in the workplace.
You will travel on a regular basis to different sites for audits and inspections in accordance with the Environmental management system, and every so often to Headquarter in Colchester.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have ideally a degree in Environmental Management and a membership of IEMA. You will have also previous experience in similar roles within Construction or similar industries.
