I have an exciting opportunity for a Process Development Technician with one of the countries leading specialist manufacturing companies. In this role you'll be working closely with the Laboratory team developing new products and managing the end to end process of the production trials.

 

The Role:

  • Reporting all incidents and near misses to line management
  • Comply with company and legislative EHS rules and regulations
  • Safely handle a variety of hazardous chemicals on a regular basis
  • Complete all final testing for NPI's
  • Validate, maintain laboratory/Pilot plant equipment
  • Responsibility for controlling non-stock raw materials for NPI
  • Accurately record all relevant required information on batch sheets
  • Preparation and support of new product introductions, including all reports/documents required to enable scale-up to Production
  • Reproduce lab trials by changing 1 process parameter providing comparison data and reporting outcomes
  • Support pilot plant activities as required
  • Support lab scale-up activities including advising on best lab manufacturing procedure with EHS / PSM criticalities in mind
    • The Candidate:
  • ‘A’ level in Science, Chemistry or equivalent, or BTEC/NVQ 3/HND in Laboratory Science or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a laboratory
  • Experience of Quality Control processes
  • IT proficiency in SAP & MS Office
