HSE Advisor – Multisite – Expanding Group

As the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor you will assure group wide compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental to develop the company HSE Management System, promote measurable effectiveness and continuous safety improvement across the Company, and drive process improvements towards achieving ISO45001 and ISO14001 certification.

To be considered for the Health, Safety and Environment Advisor opportunity you must be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH general, with a strong engineering and manufacturing background. You must hold an internal auditor qualification for both ISO45001 and ISO14001. You will also hold membership of a professional body such as IOSH.

This is a multi-site role covering 4 sites which are split between office and manufacturing/engineering environments, with this in mind you must have experience of working in a similar environment to this.

Reporting directly to the Compliance Manager you will actively engage with and support the Company Safety Management System. Audit internally to ensure that the processes needed for the Health and Safety Management System are compliant with current Health and Safety legislation, ISO45001 and ISO14001.

You will advise the Board of Directors of all incidents which are reportable under RIDDOR. Undertake risk assessments and inspections to determine ways of reducing risks with cost effective solutions and prepare reports of all the company operations.

Ensure risk assessments undertaken by the business are reviewed and effective, and maintain the risk assessment database. Investigate and provide analytical trends of incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health. Whilst maintaining a register of HSE occurrences and report on any identified trends.
