Your new company
This small and friendly manufacturing organisation working in the chemicals industry who are currently growing at some speed are looking to add an EHS Coordinator to their current staff. Sitting underneath the EHS Manager and working closely with the Quality Coordinator you will be working hard to ensure the risks are correctly identified for the company.
Your new role
Your new role will be an opportunity to provide day to day EHS support by performing EHS Risk Assessments across all functions working collaboratively with department leads. You will also have responsibilities for coordinating and maintaining the COSHH and process safety programmes, assisting with site EHS inductions and maintaining the site EHS Statutory Inspection Register. The main priority will be complete H&S risk assessments and supporting the EHS Manager in implementing policies from scratch.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal skills needed to succeed will include good knowledge and competency in completing H&S Risk assessments as well as strong communication and coordination skills. Experience in manufacturing is desirable but not essential as well as the NEBOSH General Certificate qualification. Experience and knowledge of Health & Safety however is non-negotiable. Understanding of health & safety management systems such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 would also be a great bonus.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30-5 and on Fridays finish is at 2:30.
