Transport Health and Safety Manager

The successful candidate

Previous experience within a Health and Safety management position within a HGV Transport distribution environment is ideal. The ability to converse with people at all levels including key stakeholders is key. You will be expected to liaise with operation managers, insurance companies and legal reps.

You will be confident working in a fast paced environment with solid experience in developing and implementing H&S management systems. A proven track record in promoting positive H&S standards at a high level is required.

This is the ideal position for a candidate who has strong experience in carrying out risk assessments, safety inspections, creating and delivering H&S training, routine audits and promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the business.

You will have excellent engaging and influencing skills and the ability to be able to manage your own time, multi-task and prioritise. Previous experience overseeing store delivery assessments is advantageous.

To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of the NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ or equivalent and hands on health and safety transport experience. CPC National is preferred but not essential.

Ideally you will hold a graduate membership with IOSH and a UK driving licence is essential.
