Job Details
Acre are proud to be partnering with the world's leading glass bottle manufacturer in Scotland to introduce a Plant Environment, Health & Safety Officer into the Health & Safety team.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Plant Environment, Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities for EHS and Property Protection Management performance, leading, supporting and developing and implementing plans to achieve these improvements. Additionally, you will embed and maintain the management system to help achieve these goals.
In addition, you will be responsible for the following:
- Advise the facility of their legal obligations and support EHS Leaders across the site to develop cost effective compliance strategies.
- Manage EHS & Property compliance, develop, implement and manage resolution plans.
- Identify and implement programmes to improve EHS performance, where there is a financial or operational justification
- You will be the facility expert for EHS incident investigations, ensuring that all issues are reported and in line with reported procedures.
- Monitor corrective actions, through to completion.
- Ensure an effective EHS Management system, ensuring it meets all specific local requirements as well as corporate requirements at the facility.
- Maintain ISO14001 & ISO45001.
- Offer guidance as well as technical and regulatory EHS and Property knowledge to all relevant staff within the facility.
- Develop & execute training programmes, focussing on EHS priorities and Property protection.
- Perform internal audits and inspections, monitoring to ensure compliance and policies are being followed.
Candidate Requirements:
- You will have relevant HSE experience within a manufacturing environment - 3 years min.
- Experience of Furnace environments would be beneficial
- Hold a relevant H&S qualification, e.g. NEBOSH certificate
- Internal auditor experience
- Experienced managing or maintaining management systems
- Experience of Health & Safety compliance and legislation
