This innovative Council arrangement are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their expanding Health & Safety team. Your new role
As a Health & Safety Advisor for this London Borough you will be responsible for helping to ensure the continued compliance in regards to Health, Safety & Welfare. Day to day tasks will include health & safety audits, inspections, risk assessments and action plans with the overall aim of supporting the Health & Safety function by providing professional advice to all areas of the Council. Their will be an emphasis in continuing the good work of the current Head of Health & Safety in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and providing a practical and manageable approach to health & safety. Fire Risk Assessments will also fall into your remit as well as involvement with training, accident and investigation reporting and building relationships within and outside of the Council. This is a varied and challenging role but ideal for someone looking to progress their portfolio within Health & Safety and develop their skills quickly.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will need to be a holder of the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and be at least a Graduate Member of IOSH. General health & safety professional experience is required including audits, inspections, training and risk assessments and experience within local authority will be desirable but not essential. You will need to be a good communicator and have a passion to strive forward Health & Safety within a public sector environment. Any fire safety experience would also be a bonus.
