WM Housing has an opportunity for a Head of Health and Safety in our Asset Management & Safety Team. If you are a Health & Safety professional with demonstrable experience of managing high performing Health & Safety teams, delivering successful strategy management systems, policies and plans and advising senior teams on current and emerging H&S legislation, this is an exciting time to be joining WM.

As part of our ambitious plans, we have embarked on a transformation journey and we have recently become the first Housing Association to achieve the Level 5 Diamond Award by RoSPA. We are now looking for an innovative and strategic individual to enhance the successful work.

The Head of Health & Safety will have excellent leadership qualities and they will be expected to operate at high levels to ensure that WM remains a forward-thinking Housing Association on health and safety matters.

Conveniently located at Birmingham Business Park near the National Exhibition Centre, this is an opportunity to join and lead our positive, hardworking and enthusiastic team and to make a difference to the lives of a wide range of people.

The work will predominantly be leading a team of Health & Safety professionals working in partnership with the Group to ensure that Health and Safety standards are maintained. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong and influential internal and external relationships are of paramount importance but so is the ability to interpret legislative and best practice requirements in practice.

A NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent qualification together with Chartered Membership of IOSH or an equivalent membership is required.

Closing date: 24th March 2019

Interviews and assessments will be held on 3rd April 2019
