To be considered for the Health and Safety Manager opportunity you must be hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years post qualification experience. Ideally you will come from a chemical manufacturing background and have experience within this environment or similar.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business, with the determination and ability to see all projects through to the end. Due to the nature of the business, there are a variety of health and safety challenges including COSHH, Manual Handling, DSEAR, FLT, Working at height and dealing with contractors.

As the Health and Safety Manager you will establish and maintain a Health and Safety manual in conjunction with the Group Health & Safety Manager. You will liaise and work together to compile polices applicable to all sites.

You will bring new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the attention of the Operations Manager responsible for health and safety. Whilst highlighting areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance.
