Health and Safety Trainer | Home based | South East

£45,000 - £55,000 salary plus Car & benefits

Irwin and Colton are working with a leading Health and Safety Consultancy to secure a Health and Safety Trainer to deliver a range of courses to clients across London and the South East. The role is required to support the rapid growth across the consultancy's training and development business offering.

The consultancy has a track record spanning over 20 years and counts many of the UK's largest companies as clients. The clients span a range of sectors from construction through to manufacturing and engineering.

The role will be home based but will involve travel to the organisations' Head Office and client sites across the South East.

Key responsibilities for the Health and Safety Trainer:

• Provide high quality health and safety training services to company clients in line with the overall company objectives.
• Write, develop and review high quality training courses using a range of teaching methods.
• To maintain close working relationships with the training coordinators and other trainers and consultants within the business.
• Evaluate success and impact of training delivered, complete internal reports and documentation within specified timescales.

Essential experience and qualifications for the Health and Safety Trainer:

• Experience within a health and safety training role, from within the construction industry.
• NEBOSH Construction certificate, NEBOSH Fire Certificate and NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Ideally Chartered Member of IOSH.
• AET / PTTLS / Teaching Certificate or Equivalent
• CITB Site Safety Plus (Must have construction experience) - SMSTS and SSSTS
• Effective communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders

The successful candidate must be able to deliver the following courses:

• NEBOSH Construction, General and Fire certificate.
• CITB Site Safety Plus (Must have construction experience) - SMSTS and SSSTS
• IOSH - Working Safely, Managing Safely, SED.
