This post will be offered on an indefinite basis.

This is a full-time post – 100% full time equivalent

An opportunity for a safety advisor with experience of fire and/or building safety, has arisen in a prestigious central London university.

King’s College London is a large multi-campus, multi-faculty research led University with close links to three London NHS Foundation Trusts. The University wishes to appoint a Safety advisor to the central safety team.

The role holder will be supporting the Director, Deputy Director and Heads of Safety of H&SS in the provision of general safety advice, instruction development, implementation of a risk-based safety management and risk assessment programmes and training to the University, with emphasis on fire and infrastructure safety.

The role requires the post holder to have understanding and experience of the practical application and implementation of safety arrangements within a large research laboratory, or similarly complex work, environment. The applicants would benefit from experience in assisting in the development of policy/procedures and working within a safety management system and advising on legal compliance and good practice.

The selection process will include a panel interview (including a case study presentation).
