An international construction company who operate on some of the UK's best known and most exciting construction projects is currently seeking a Business Unit Lead within Health and Safety - this is a newly created area of the business. This role will focus on innovative solutions within the commercial construction sector, using cutting edge technology to efficiently deliver high profile projects. Our client is offering an ideal opportunity for an individual to step into a leadership post with overall responsibility for a multi-million-pound business units health and safety performance.

The Role:

  • Develop and apply Health and Safety strategy across the business, implementing change to have a positive impact on business performance
  • Advise and interpret project and statutory requirements to ensure an outstanding safety culture exists across the division
  • Support Senior Directors by maintaining your own key sector knowledge and transferring this across the business
  • Set and ensure achievement of Health and safety targets, planning, policy and strategy 

The Candidate:

  • Prior experience working in a major construction environment, a track record of delivering outstanding safety culture
  • Excellent communicator, dynamic, able to operate at a Senior level
  • Strong business acumen, commercially minded
  • GradIOSH minimum - ideally CMIOSH
