An influential H&S & Training Manager to join a leading food manufacturer, based in Yetminster (Dorset).

Your new role

As Health, Safety and Training Manager, you will report to the Site General Manager at Yetminster . You will be based solely at this site and be responsible for implementing, co-ordinating and managing Health, Safety and Training policies and procedures to agreed company standards in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where the health & safety of the team is paramount.

This is a single-site role with responsibility for Health and Safety across many different departments, including: manufacturing, logistics, sales, finance and HR. Working hours: 40/week, but flexible on 8am-4.30pm or 9am-5.30pm.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a resilient, commercially aware person who can influence colleagues at all levels of the business, working together with colleagues to do what is best for the company as a whole. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of working in a multi-cultural, manufacturing environment (ideally within food), but knowledge of other sectors could be considered.

You must have a proven record of promoting a positive Health and Safety culture, able to be diplomatic yet assertive as required. A NEBOSH General Certificate is essential, but a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
