Health and Safety Officer

HSE Recruitment currently have a very exciting opportunity to join a one of a kind client based in Bristol, as a Health and Safety Officer for an initial 6 month contract.

As a Health and Safety Officer, you will be working closely with a company through an interesting period of growth, where the team hope to double in size. The site has workshops and R&D risks (including HV risks) so ideally you will be an experienced Health and Safety officer with a background in either automotive, aerospace or a general manufacturing environment – where you have dealt with engineers, operational staff and workshop professionals. The company have already had an audit and have a gap analysis, so this role requires someone extremely hands on, and able to implement changes as a result of the gap analysis. This includes creating policies, procedures, and ensuring that the site is up to scratch and legally compliant.

You will be NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum and will be a very hands on, operationally focused professional, with previous experience of creating from scratch and change implementation. You will be confident and personable with excellent communication skills, and able to speak to people in all different roles at different levels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely exciting company at the ground floor, and possibly to be part of a real revolutionary change to industry, and this role is offered as a 6 month contract initially to allow for changes in the role and company, and for the Health and Safety role to grow organically.
