Construction Health and Safety Advisor

HSEQ Advisor role at major Principal Contractor, based in Surrey, 1 year fixed term contract. £40K/45K

Our client is one of the largest Principal Contractor in the UK. In order to grow their HSEQ team they are recruiting for a Construction Health and Safety Advisor, to cover sites in Surrey. 1 year fixed term contract.

Your new role
The role is to cover the Southern Region on a Fixed Term Contract. The office location of the role is Guildford, Surrey, as part of this position there is a requirement for reasonable travel to accommodate sites throughout the South of England.

On a daily basis you will, Advise sites on Project-specific health, safety and environment issues. Actively identify areas for improvement and contribute to plans aimed at reducing the occurrence of incidents. Ensure that site teams are proactive, up to date and comply with current health, safety and environmental legislation, best practice and Company standards. Undertake monitoring of the health, safety and the environment processes. Assist with the investigation of incidents to establish the root cause and preventative measures. Develop and maintain a 'continuous improvement' ethos in the approach to health, safety and environmental issues and support the Groups Behavioural Safety Program. Ensure site based management are focused on delivering a safe and healthy working environment.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in Construction HSEQ, ideally within a PC working on large projects. You will hold NEBOSH Construction as a minimum requirement.
