QHSE Manager

idverde is the UK’s leading provider of integrated management and maintenance services for parks and green spaces. The company also operates in France and the Netherlands and together, the idverde group is the largest of its kind in Europe.  In the UK, we employ over two and half thousand employees nationally and we’re growing fast.  The services we provide include landscape design and creation, civil engineering, park management and consultancy, grounds maintenance, tree surgery, Traffic management (SW) and highway works and external cleansing.

We have an opportunity for a QHSE Manager to join the team and support our LON&SE region.

Personal Specification

You will have worked in a similar QHSE role and ideally have knowledge and experience of the sectors in which idverde operates. Given the range of activities and the geographic locations of the sites, you must be flexible, possess a can do attitude and be prepared to get involved in making things happen. The successful candidate will be comfortable giving competent and sound QHSE advice to operational teams. You will be familiar with working in a multi-site environment and will be equally comfortable out on site as in the office.

Role Responsibilities

Your role will be to support the Operational Management team in delivering the company’s integrated management system at all locations. idverde operates an IMS that applies to all activity within the company and achieving consistency across the board is a key requirement in ensuring the company stays effective and legal as well as progressive and proactive.  The role will include the following duties:

  • Provide support to Regional and Contract management in delivering their legal, regulatory and organisational responsibilities.
  • Develop the performance of the IMS by working to continually improve the systems within the QHSE framework.
  • To be first point of contact in respect of incident and accident reporting within the defined region/ geographical area and to support accident and incident investigations.
  • To support and deliver the internal QHSE audit schedule

The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider QHSE and operational management teams is also crucial to this role.
