CDM Advisor & Principal Designer

Our client, a multidisciplinary consultancy, are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Professional who is able to provide support to the team on CDM Advisory services. This includes advising the Principal Designer team on a wide range of projects, and also acting as a Health and Safety professional on non-construction projects.

You will have the opportunity to develop into a more senior consultant as the team grows, and you will be provided with an excellent level of support, training and client exposure.

The role will involve:

• Visiting construction sites and carrying out CDM site audits
• Attending pre-construction and construction phase design team meetings
• Producing PD meeting reports and audit reports
• Chairing hazard review workshops with designers
• Assisting designers with hazard identification and elimination
• Producing and distributing Pre-Construction Information documents
• Reviewing Construction Phase Plans
• Producing Health and Safety Files
• Assisting with training designers with regard to CDM regulations
• Working on improvement of company templates

Qualifications and Experience:

• Will hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and ideally be a member of the APS
• An understanding of the design process and how to design out hazards and risks.
• A thorough knowledge of the CDM 2015 regulations and associated legislation
• Appropriate experience of construction, property compliance or project health and safety reviews/audits
