Health and Safety Advisor

A highly regarded national charity is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to be based from either Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester. You will be part of a refreshed health and safety team, taking a 'business partner' approach - providing managers and staff with the tools and training they need to manage health and safety on a day to day basis, and providing higher level technical advice when required. 
 
The Role:
 - Lead on the continual improvement of H&S within regional remit
 - Ensure the ongoing maintenance of OHSAS 18001 management system
 - Developing and delivering H&S training
 - Travelling to other office locations and services to support the role
 
The Candidate:
 - NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in H&S or equivalent - Candidate can be working towards
 - Experience of operating as a H&S professional, preferably within the charity, public sector, education or similar environments
 - Knowledge of OHSAS 18001
 - Highly effective communicator and influencer
 - Coaching and influencing skills, able to take a 'business partner' approach
