Safety, Health & Environmental Manager

Our client is a global leader within contracting and consultancy looking for a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager (SHE Manager) to join a major project team based in the Essex / Kent region delivering works on prestigious infrastructure project.

As a SHE Manager you will advise and support managers and engineers on SHE at all stages of a construction project and support the business line by ensuring that strategy, systems and processes are implemented and followed meeting expectations both internally and externally.

You will support the SHE Director to normalize approach to project delivery across geotechnical, remediation, hydrogeology, ecology and archaeology disciplines in particular. As SHE Manager you will provide advice, support and training on compliance with relevant Safety & Health requirements at all stages of a project.

The successful SHE Manager will poses GradIOSH or CMIOSH with experience working within health and safety for a major contractor. It is essential that applicants have extensive relevant construction industry experience including delivering construction phase work within CDM Principal Contractor for projects involving remediation, archaeology and ground investigation as well as undertaking the role of CDM Principal Consultant for environmental services.
