Health & Safety Officer

Your new company
This educational facility supports the higher education of thousands of students across East Anglia. They are looking for a health & safety officer to promote health & safety standards in the facility and engage with senior leaders.

Your new role
Your new role will be to ensure that the educational establishment is meeting all health, safety & environmental requirements by monitoring, reviewing and maintaining policies and procedures. You will be responsible for advising the Leadership Team on any changes to health & safety legislation and any compliance short-comings. On a day to day you will be completing and monitoring risk assessments and plans, discussing areas for improvements and completing site inspections. You will be working closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Facilities and H&S to maintain an accurate health & safety risk register and promote a positive safety culture.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to hold a NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum or have recently graduated with a BSc/MSc in Occupational Health & Safety. You must be a strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. You should be able to effectively promote and maintain a positive health & safety culture and have strong time management skills to be able to deliver to deadlines. My client is looking for a proactive and customer-focused professional with a willingness to show initiative in engaging staff and students in Health & Safety.

What you'll get in return
