The salary will be paid at Grade 5, £31,883 to £39,484 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be offered on an indefinite basis.

This is a full-time post – 100% full time equivalent.

An opportunity for a safety advisor with experience of building plant and equipment, and fire safety, has arisen in a prestigious central London university.

King’s College London is a large multi-campus, multi-faculty research led University with close links to three London NHS Foundation Trusts. The University wishes to appoint a Safety Advisor (Infrastructure).

The role holder will be supporting the Director, Deputy Director and Heads of Safety of H&SS in the provision of general safety advice, data handling, instruction development, implementation of a risk-based safety management and risk assessment programmes and training to the University, with emphasis on infrastructure and fire safety.

The role requires the post holder to have understanding and experience of the practical application and implementation of infrastructure and fire safety arrangements within a complex environment with buildings ranging from heritage through to modern across university and hospital campuses. The applicants would benefit from experience in data analysis (using Excel or equivalent), assisting in the authoring and development of a safety management system, and advising on legal compliance and good practice relating to infrastructure and fire safety.

The selection process will include a panel interview (including a case study presentation).
