Assured Safety Recruitment are seeking suitable candidates to join an international group, based at their high-risk manufacturing site in Lancashire. Reporting to the Site Safety, Health and Environment Manager you will;

 

· Support the site with Safety, Health and Environment matters; including shutdowns and projects

· Advise on all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment processes and systems ensuring full compliance with legislative and Corporate SHE standards

· Be responsible for driving and facilitating improvements to SHE excellence processes for both employees and contractors on site.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Ability to use IT systems to identify trends, produce reports, presentations and action plans

· Ability to plan and prioritise work load based on business and legal requirements

· Strong influencing and communication skills

· Ability to engage, influence and communicate with all levels of staff to disseminate information

· Confidence to deliver training and briefing sessions

· The successful applicant will be expected to hold a NEBOSH certificate

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT EXPECTATIONS

· Maintain up to date knowledge of SHE legislation

· Work with various departments and central SHE team to facilitate their delivery of SHE based projects in line with company and legislative requirements

· Assist in the planning and preparation of necessary SHE processes and documentation for planned, emergency and non-routine maintenance

· Conduct independent and joint inspections to identify compliance with company and legislative requirements and identify areas for improvement

· Manage the generation of SHE reports required by group and external bodies ensuring the reports are accurate and submitted on time

· Manage and develop electronic systems to ensure the appropriate retention and dissemination of information.

· Assist in the supporting and coaching of management teams to develop their health and safety knowledge, awareness of their responsibilities and adoption of best practice.
