Health Safety Environment Manager

Acre has been engaged by a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of automotive products. The business is a UK based manufacturer and despatch from their facilities in Northamptonshire.

To support and direct the ongoing Sustainable Occupational SHE performances, the business is looking to introduce a permanent HSE Manager.

The facility produces highly flammable products, so strong knowledge of the chemical manufacturing industry is a necessity.

As the HSE Manager you will support and direct all Senior Management and employees on their HSE responsibilities, ensuring everyone is accountable.

Responsibilities will include:

• Deliver, drive and monitor the HSE Strategy to ensure the business meets the objectives set out.
• Review and advise on amendments t the HSE strategy, working with the Global Leadership team.
• Lead and support the sites HSE improvement plans and identifying areas to develop.
• Mentor and coach at all levels in behavioural safety.
• Encourage LEAN thinking and methodology to improve engagement and reduce risks when new processes are introduced, or old processes improved.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing HSE leader to continue to develop the safety culture in a manufacturing environment. This role would be ideal for HSE professionals with experience of managing teams within a chemical manufacturing environment.

In addition, the successful candidate will have the following:

• NEBOSH diploma or NCRQ Level 6 or equivalent qualification
• Must have line management experience
• Experience auditing against corporate standards
