Regional HSE Manager role, Huntingdon, Construction, £50K + car allowance

Your new company
Our client is a large Construction, Building Services and Engineering company operating for a wide range of clients in the UK. In order to expand their HSEQ team, they are currently recruiting for a Regional HSE Manager.

Your new role
To purpose of the role is to assist in the management and delivery of an effective Corporate Health and Safety service to ensure the company meets its statutory responsibilities and provides safe working environments for employees, clients and those affected by our undertaking whilst operating in compliance with company policy and procedure.

Main duties will include: representing the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and developing strong working relationships with colleagues and clients. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act, Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations and the CDM Regulations as they apply at all times. To comply with all other relevant Health and Safety regulations or instructions as they apply.

You will also undertake accident investigations and prepare accurate and professional reviews, including appropriate recommendations where necessary. Recognise changes to legislation, guidance and other relevant developments and develop strategies for their implementation where necessary. Evaluate issues and formulate practical solutions.

You will provide professional advice and guidance to Senior Manager, Project Managers and Employees on health and safety welfare issues.

What you'll need to succeed
Successful candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and will have extensive experience gained managing health and safety in a construction and engineering environment.

You will have a proven track record in building relationships at all levels and have experience in change management. To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated, innovative and be solution driven. You will have a NEBOSH Diploma and be CMIOSH qualified (or working towards). A fire and environmental qualification would be advantageous as would an auditing and training certificate.

Experience in Construction, Fit out or building services are important required.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary up to £50K, £8K car allowance.
