Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) Manager - England

Story Contracting Limited are leading, well respected rail, civil engineering and construction company with offices, depots and excellent forward order book across England and Scotland.

Well established within the Rail Industry, being Network Rail Supplier of the Year in 2014 and with of a number of project awards to its name, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional HSQE Manager.

In order to support the increasing work bank, we are looking to recruit an experienced Regional HSQE Manager. Reporting to the Senior HSQE Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of our Health and Safety strategy across regional depots and projects, providing advice and support to project teams, and working collaboratively to deliver project works whilst maintaining first class health and safety standards. In addition, you will also support the Assurance Manager in maintaining accreditation to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 together with other industry accreditations.

You will be confident with the ability to drive the safety agenda both at Senior Manager and site level, be an established health and safety professional, an experienced Site Auditor and Incident Investigator with a keen eye for detail and will be focussed on working with the Site Teams in order to continually improve safety performance. You will be self-driven with the ability to manage your time effectively and be prepared to travel across England in order to support the site teams.

You will hold a NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum and will be a Graduate Member of IOSH with the ambition to work towards CMIOSH status. You will have gained experience working within the construction / civil engineering sector. Working knowledge of the rail industry standards with PTS certification would be desirable but not essential, and a recognised audit qualification, such as Lead Auditor, would be advantageous.
