£31,696 plus benefits
37 hours per week – permanent

The Role
Can you support our highly specialist team who are responsible for managing technical services across the Defence Estate? If so, we have three vacancies at our Andover, Catterick & RAF Wyton sites.
The regional H&S team provide the intelligent customer capability for H&S and therefore undertake assurance and performance reporting; monitor and develop DIO policy to meet H&S legislation, codes of practice and MOD policies. The team also provide a professional support capability for DIO business areas in respect of advice and guidance on all matters H&S.
The post holder is accountable to Senior H&S Advisor for the delivery of H&S Regional Support/ Assurance functions, including supporting the Regional Functional Lead (Health and Safety) (RFL (H&S)) and will be responsible for leading H&S within their geographical areas, ensuring adherence to all agreed DIO and Top Level Budget Holders (TLB) processes and operating procedures. The post holder will be required to work collaboratively with all parts of the organisation and to facilitate appropriate DIO and TLB interfaces. Support for RFL (H&S) to be on both a regional and a subject matter basis.
The Regional H&S Advisors will provide support to the Assistant Head Regional H&S on health and safety matters and provide local support to non-regionalised areas of DIO e.g. Accommodation, Technical Services (TS), Commercial.
The post holder will also support the H&S assurance programme, undertake centrally directed assurance and undertake incident investigations and root cause analysis via a regional support network for DIO business areas.
