Radiation Protection Advisor - Leading University - London - Up to £55,000

We have a fantastic opportunity for a leading University based in London. My client is looking for a Radiation Protection Advisor to join the Safety Team. You will be responsible for the following:

- Ensure Policies and Procedures are in place. 

- Ensure the University complies with the legislative requirements under the ionising radiations regulations 1999.

- Provide advice and guidance on compliance with the environmental permitting regulations 2010 as a qualified expert 

- Management of non-ionising radiation across the University 

- Provide advice on the standards required for managing the decommissioning of redundant facilities 

- Apply for EPR10 Permits and Certificates 

- Provide oversight and assurance monitoring of the management of radiation 

- Co-ordinate the response for serious incidents, 

- Lead on critical examination of X-ray installations 

- Lead on audits of radioactive sources
