Your new company
This manufacturing company operates out of offices and production sites across the UK and globally. They have a good UK presence in their specialist industry and now need a dedicated health & safety professional to cover two of their expanding sites in Northamptonshire and Derbyshire.
Your new role
With support from the EHS Manager and a Central Safety Team you will be working to promote EHS culture across the sites and build on what is already in place to ensure the best standards of safety. On a day to day you may be required to support on regulatory compliance, lead on incident and injury investigations, develop and deliver training, complete site safety inspections, develop policies and procedures, organise EHS committee meetings and complete risk assessments. You will be overall responsible for around 150 employees split across 2 sites located in Derbyshire and Northamptonshire and will be expected to travel between the two when needed.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role you will need to be qualified to at least NEBOSH Certificate level and have some experience working within the manufacturing industry ideally targeted in food, chemicals and heavy machinery. My client is looking for someone with an ambition to progress and develop and give their all to the role. Good communication is essential as well as experience in risk assessments, training and accident investigations. A degree level qualification would also be desirable ideally within science or engineering.
What you'll get in return
For this role you will be entitled to an annual salary of between £30k and £34k (dependent on experience) and will in addition receive 33 days annual leave, a personalised development programme to ensure you are on track for any potential promotions and a pension contribution ranging from 5% to 14.5% (dependent on age.)
