Where does this role fit within Ted's Team?

Ted Baker requires assistance with maintaining our excellence in safety management. This is the ideal role for a proactive, energetic person to join a progressive expanding global company. The role will be based at Ted Bakers Head Office but some site visits may be required from time to time. The Health and Safety Co-ordinator will report to our UK & EU Safety Advisor.

Main responsibilities…

• Overview the safety management Sharepoint site, to ensure our compliance is withheld to a high standard
• Assist with writing an implementing H&S processes and policies across Ted Baker
• Deliver induction training to our new team members at UBB
• Support delivery of training to the Global Retail Team
• Collect and collate information from Retail Teams
• Monitor and log incoming accident and incident reports
• Work to uphold the safety culture within UBB by continuous audit and assessment
• Manage the demand for DSE assessments and order relevant supplies
• Help aid the assessment of working conditions for our pregnant team members
• Refresher train our current team members
• Work with the Safety Team to review business wide safety performance
• Log our incoming near miss cards
• Act on and communicate effectively incoming requests from all business areas
• Manage the expectations of Ted’s team of Fire Marshals and First Aiders
• Co-ordinate First Aid and Fire Marshal Training
• Manage the department finance and costs in line with the budget
• Work with and support the ISO45001 Implementation Team
• Engage in the Business Continuity Planning process and incident response team
• Communicate and support in incident management
• Advise our Global Retail Teams when required

Tools of the Trade…

• Must have a keen interest in Health & Safety
• Should have experience of working in a commercial environment
• Experience of working with Microsoft Office
• Be able to work on own initiative
• Strong engaging skills to deliver a bespoke and unique service
• Must be confident in talking with groups of people
• Confident in delivering training

Qualifications…

• Must hold NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
