Construction Health & Safety Advisor

HSE Advisor role at a large construction contractor, residential sector. Up to £50K + car, East London/Essex.


Our client is one of the largest Principal Contractor (House builder) in the UK. In order to expand their HSEQ team, they are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor.

Your new role
You will report directly to the Regional SHE Manager and you'll be responsible for a number of sites in East London and Essex.

On a daily basis you will, Advise sites on Project-specific health, safety and environment issues. Actively identify areas for improvement and contribute to plans aimed at reducing the occurrence of incidents. Ensure that site teams are proactive, up to date and comply with current health, safety and environmental legislation, best practice and Company standards. Undertake monitoring of the health, safety and the environment processes. Assist with the investigation of incidents to establish the root cause and preventative measures. Develop and maintain a 'continuous improvement' ethos in the approach to health, safety and environmental issues and support the Groups Behavioural Safety Program. Ensure site based management are focused on delivering a safe and healthy working environment.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in Construction Health and Safety ideally within a large principal contractor, working mainly on RC Frames, high rise and residential new build projects. You will hold NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate, and a Tech IOSH membership.
