Your new company
This public sector organisation is currently undergoing ambitious change including refurbishment, major projects and developing safety culture. They are looking for someone to work with their projects team to support the senior leaders with their health & safety obligations and implementation of safety strategy across both the major and minor projects.

Your new role
In this role you will need to use your knowledge of CDM regulations, develop and scrutinise pre-construction phase plans, health & safety files and work closely with the Principal Designers working on the major projects. You will be working with individuals and teams to ensure the organisation with working in line with legislative and compliance requirements whilst also shaping and managing the health & safety responsibilities for the project team. There will also be a priority set on ensuring the management of these projects is robust and that a positive safety culture is embedded within all the staff.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need strong experience in CDM, pre-construction phase plans,working with Principal Designers and monitoring contractor performance. You will also need to have a good approach to identifying solutions and identify the issues which require action. Ideally you will have a strong construction background within client-side roles and a track record of delivering health & safety change and development. My client is looking for someone who is highly qualified with Level 6 H&S Qualifications and either CMIOSH or close to achieving chartered status (within the next 6-12 months.)
