 An opportunity has arisen for a SHEQ Advisor to join a civil engineering specialist working on utilities projects across London and the South East. You will be supporting multiple construction sites throughout East London, Essex and Kent for local water authorities. The ideal candidate will have prior H&S experience in the Civil Engineering sector, preferably on utility projects.

The Role:

  • Preparing local Health, Safety & Environmental strategies
  • To assist in the development of safe operational procedures which identify and evaluate all relevant hazards, and minimise operational risk
  • Undertaking internal audits & surveillance and produce reports based on findings
  • Attending safety meetings
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, monitor and review the preventative measures that the company is required or choose to follow

The Candidate:

  • 2 years plus experience working in an H&S role in one of the following sectors - utilities, civil engineering, telecoms, power, gas
  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate, NCRQ or equivalent
  • Tech IOSH, working towards Grad IOSH
  • Previous experience working in a high-risk environment
