We are looking for a high performing Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manager to deliver a diverse HSE / FM strategy across a multinational professional services firm based in London. This role is perfect for someone looking to step up into a corporate business and thrive.

The HSEQ Manager will be an integral leader on the account SLT (senior leadership team) providing support and competent advice on all matters about Health, Safety, Environment and Quality within the account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and competent HSEQ advice for the account on HSE legislation, guidance and best practice as well as internally developed policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement an HSEQ auditing strategy considering clauses from ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management and BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety Management
  • Accident and Incident Investigation, including root cause analysis, for significant health, safety, environmental or property damage events and potential events
  • Support in delivery of HSEQ aspects of mobilisation or transition of new accounts
  • Lead HSEQ matters at senior leadership meetings
  • Facilitate and lead HSEQ meetings
  • Cascade and escalate HSEQ information with ISS Business Services Sector and wider ISS UK business as appropriate
  • Liaison with Client / Customer key stakeholders and HSEQ functions as required
  • Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of the 'Near Hit' (hazard, near miss and improvement reporting) programme
  • Ensure and support HSEQ and workplace competencies amongst the operational management team
  • Lead on all waste management matters under the umbrella of Environmental lead in collaboration with the client and central waste teams
  • Lead, influence and coach the account team to drive consistent and meaningful HSEQ management through the development and deployment of a HSEQ strategy

Experiences:

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (e.g. degree or NVQ level 5 or 6)
  • Internal management system auditing qualification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or BS OHSAS 18001
  • Environmental Management Certificate (e.g. IEMA or NVQ level 3)
  • Experience of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3 years' experience in a leadership position in a corporate facilities management HSE or Q role or similar
  • Experience of influencing senior managers and front line
  • Accident Investigation / Root Cause Analysis experience

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • Environmental degree or diploma or level 5 or 6 NVQ
  • Lead management system auditor qualification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or BS OHSAS 18001
  • Experience of development and implementation of Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality or Integrated Management Systems (OHSMS, EMS, QMS or IMS)
  • Accident Investigation / Root Cause Analysis qualification
  • Behavioural Safety programme experience
