Your new company
Hays Health & Safety have been approached to recruit a new Health & Safety Manager to join a leading food service wholesaler. They focus on supplying a range of foods, beers, wines, spirits and catering essentials. They have an opportunity which will suit an established health & safety manager to drive and improve the health & safety culture from within the organisation.

Your new role
In this new role you will be managing national projects and processes alongside driving improvements in health and safety standards. The role is a home-based opportunity with frequent travel to depots across the midlands and south of England. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Provide Health & Health advice to nationwide depots.
  • Promote and implement a strong and positive Health & Safety culture across the business.
  • Deliver second party audits.
  • Deliver projects focusing on improving the organisations Health & Safety practices.
  • Develop strong working relationships with industry organisations and enforcing bodies.
  • Lead and mentor all other Site Managers across the company.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you'll need to have a NEBOSH diploma qualification with a wealth of health and safety management experience. Additionally, you'll need be a chartered member of IOSH but good candidates with grad IOSH status may be considered. My client is also looking for someone who has strong communication skills and is customer focused. Experience within warehousing and logistics would also be very advantageous. UK driving licence essential.

What you'll get in return
In return you will earn a base salary of between £48,000- £50,000 (depending on experience). In addition, the company provide other benefit packages including a company car, childcare support, employee discounts across various retailers and BUPA.
