Our new approach to safety, health and environment management and our ambitious plans for the future, make this an exciting time to join the UCLan SHE Department. We are seeking a dynamic forward thinking individual, with a proven ability to influence and succeed within a complex environment.
We are looking for an experienced SHE Adviser to support the Lead SHE Advisers and SHE Department in providing comprehensive SHE advice, training, instruction and information across the University. To include:
• Providing advice in the field of health and safety, carry out risk assessments and audits.
• Supporting academics and support staff in meeting their Safety, Health and Environmental responsibilities.
• Playing an important role assisting the SHE Department in promoting a safety, health and environmental culture across the University with a strong emphasis on coaching and training.
Experience of SHE compliance is essential. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and manage your workload to meet deadlines.
Educated to degree level (or with demonstrable relevant experience) coupled with a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate and membership of IOSH, the successful applicant will also have a good working knowledge and application of Health and Safety legislation and preferably an environmental qualification and / or experience of working in the environmental field.
