Last year we welcomed over 1.8 million visitors to our diverse portfolio of venues in pursuit of our aims of, addressing physical inactivity, raising cultural ambition and tackling education inequalities in the borough of Doncaster
Our business is a complex blend.
From swimming pool management, open water activities, golf courses to catering outlets and outdoor events.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Health and Safety professional, relevant Degree or NEBOSH Diploma qualified to lead and drive the Trust forward.
Group Health & Safety Manager
Salary £45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus benefits. Average 37 hours to include evenings and weekends
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Group Health & Safety Manager will lead and ensure that the Company is proactive, up to date and complies with Health & Safety legislation and Company policies. Promoting a Health and Safety conscious working environment and ensuring a strong safety culture is fully embedded across the organisation by setting the Health & Safety strategic frameworks, developing appropriate standards and procedures and ensuring these are integrated within the organisation.
About You
You will hold a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and Chartered status CMIOSH. You will be an expert in Health and Safety legislation and best practice to drive compliance and continuous improvement across the Trust, building a strategic vision and reporting to the Board on Health & Safety matters. You will have a proven record of driving new initiatives and the ability to effectively negotiate and influence at a senior level. The ideal candidate will have operated at a strategic level but also happy to remain hands on when required, acting as a strong role model for culture change.
