Looking for a role to make your own? An opportunity for a Regional SHEQ Advisor to be part of an exciting logistics company where the people are an essential part of their success.  Reporting to the SHEQ Manager you will have autonomy for 5 – 6 sites in the southern region and ideally be based around the Reading area with sites covered along the M4 corridor. Occasional overnight stay may be required.

An ideal position for a candidate with a strong background in managing multiple sites and a proven track record of developing and leading a positive safety behaviour culture.  The role requires a consultative approach and the successful candidate will be confident at engaging at all levels including key stake holders. Excellent communication skills are essential. 

Ideally you will have experience across Logistics, Distribution & Warehousing, however my client is happy to consider other industry areas.  As part of the collaborative team you will require previous experience that may include manual handling, racking, vehicular movement, hot works, hand and arm vibration, fire & asbestos, gases etc. 

Minimum qualification Nebosh General and/or NCRQ equivalent, ideally you will be working towards Nebosh Diploma.  Tech IOSH or working towards.

Minimum of 3 years Health Safety & Environmental experience is essential 

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Provide competent Health and Safety advice and guidance 
  • Develop Site Safety Plans and report on key issues and progress against the SHEQ Strategy & Risk Registers 
  • Support stakeholders, site management teams and operational teams across the business 
  • Assist Accident & Incidents investigations and provide trend analysis and corrective action plans 
  • Develop and deliver training materials 
  • Identify gaps in management systems and monitor output from audits/inspections.
