You’re NEBOSH qualified and have proven practical work experience gained in the Health & Safety field. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Recovery Focus as a Health & Safety Officer.

We’re currently looking for a home-based Health & Safety Officer to lead the development, promotion and implementation of a H&S culture within Richmond Fellowship. A key member of our Performance & Quality team, your challenge in this interesting fixed term contract role will be to embed policy into practice, share good practice and disseminate relevant information across the organisation. As well as acting as RF’s competent person under regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, you’ll be the main H&S contact with external regulators and HSE. We’ll also rely on you review and monitor policy, support staff with H&S queries and lead facilitation, coaching and training response to any identified H&S issues.

To succeed, you’ll need good knowledge of H&S legislation, plus the ability to interpret and apply it. You’ll also need a flair for translating policy into practice using a variety of approaches. Experience of leading change management projects and/or delivering training or briefing sessions on H&S issues would also be useful, although this is not essential. What is for sure though is that you’re comfortable working with others to improve H&S practice, great at prioritising your work, have excellent report writing skills, a good level of numeracy and a flexible attitude to working hours. A full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly is also required.

So, are you ready to take on this rewarding role that comes with some really great benefits? Apply now using the button below.

This is a rolling recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be interviewed as and when they apply.
