Fire Safety Manager | Housing | London | £50k + Benefits | Great chance to development into management


Your new company
This public sector organisation is looking to appoint a permanent fire safety manager to look after their diverse and varied housing portfolio. The organisation is currently undergoing change in both their corporate and housing fire safety teams and are looking for strong leaders to develop the plan and take over.

Your new role
This role will develop into being the lead for fire safety compliance across the housing department, you will help to manage surveyors & clerk of works as well as a contracted fire risk assessment programme. You will also act as liaison between the organisation and LFB and the HSE. You will help with promoting fire safety across the organisation as well as offering technical advice for the housing department inline with RRO 2005. Day to day this role could include delivering fire training, strategic planning of fire services, compliance audits, delivery of the fire safety works programme and producing detailed specifications.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role you will need to have current up to date fire safety knowledge as well as current guidance such as BS9991, PAS79, RRO 2005 etc... My client is open to qualification level, but it would be desirable if you did hold any of the following: CFPA Diploma, NEBOSH Fire, MIFSM, MIFE (or equivalents.) Experience in undertaking FRA's or previously managing a fire safety works programme would also be advantageous.
