Shirley Parsons are partnered with a leading Education establishment that have an opening for a Health and Safety Manager to be the competent person on site. This role will see the successful candidate supporting a wide range of departments and staff on Health and Safety practices. The role is based in Oxford and will suit candidates with an engaging approach and the ability to build rapport at all levels.

 

The Role:

  • Develop, implement and manager the organisation's Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Create and deliver a range of H&S training and inductions
  • Investigate and report on all incidents, accidents and near misses
  • Conduct a range of risk assessments across the premises and ensure these are appropriately reviewed

 

The Candidate:

  • NEBOSH Diploma/Equivalent, ideally a Fire Safety qualification
  • Experience in the education sector or complex environments
  • Engaging, personable and a proven influencer
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbally
