Your new company
A public sector organisation in Central London are looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to add to their central safety team. This is a strategically important role which provides health, safety & compliance oversight to various departments.

Your new role
Supporting the Head of Health & Safety, you will be responsible for raising the profile of health & safety throughout the organisation and leading on the development and delivery of policies and procedures. You will work closely with departments to design specialised health & safety plans to ensure compliance, provide advice, and implement the health & safety management plan. You will have various dealings with senior stakeholders including the chief executive and ultimately help the organisation in their aim to reduce incidents and lost days and developing a positive culture that fosters open and transparent conversation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be at minimum a Graduate Member of IOSH ideally working towards CMIOSH or already there. You will need to have a pragmatic and collaborative approach with experience working in multi-site public sector organisations. Experience within local authority, NHS, social care or education and ideally a mix of these sectors is highly advantageous. A successful track record in developing and implementing strategy and proven ability to influence senior level Directors is also essential.

What you'll get in return
In return you will get a salary in the region of £44,373 - £51,162. Other benefits include generous leave allowance and access to a public sector pension scheme.
