Health and Safety Advisor
£45,000 + Travel and Excellent Benefits

Irwin & Colton are working with a leading Principal Contractor to secure a Health and Safety Advisor to oversee several projects based across London. The role will report into the Health and Safety Director and ensure the consistent implementation and progression of a positive safety culture.
This Principal Contractor has a strong heritage and a reputation for being an employer of choice within the construction industry. With a global turnover of over £2bn.
Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:
- Carrying out site inspections and audits to identify any unsafe practices and educate the teams towards the correct methods of work
- Keeping up to date with Health and Safety legislation and company policies and procedures, and ensure that these are implemented on site
- Liaising with senior management teams, offering Health and Safety advice as necessary and attending regular Health and Safety meetings
- Lead accident/incident investigations and ensuring learnings are shared across the business
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
- NEBOSH General Certificate / Construction Certificate or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the construction industry
- Experience in a Health & Safety or SHEQ position
