Health and Safety Consultant

We're currently working with a reputable Construction Consultancy who are looking for an ambitious and proactive Health and Safety Consultant to join the team. Primarily based on a major project in Merseyside, you will be responsible for building multiple relationships from the client to contractor, as well as driving a positive health and culture within the business. Suitable candidates will have at least 5 years of experience within the construction industry and hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum. This is a 2-year FTC position that could have the potential of going permanent throughout the contract.

The Role:

• Produce project specific health and safety management plans
  
• Review the site health and safety conditions and performance
• Monitor and produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  
• Carry out site walk-arounds with client representatives with an extra focus on their health and safety leaderships views and processes
  
• Produce reports against health and safety KPIs and statistics
  
• Maintain and update health and safety management systems and audit against ISO standards
  
• Share best practice with site teams and collaborate with key stakeholders

The Candidate:

• Experience working within a construction project environment within a Health and Safety position
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum qualification
• GradIOSH membership status would be preferred
• A forward-thinking approach to driving health and safety
• A confident communicator
