Acre is currently working with a leading Utilities business based in SE England to support with recruiting a SHEQ Adviser to join their team.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of SHEQ in delivering Health & Safety across the business, with a focus on areas around Kent and West Sussex.

You will carry out and record SHEQ inspections across depots and sites, working with managers and supervisors to ensure total compliance. You will also provide operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, ill health, environmental incidents and the practical implementation of the Company's SHEQ policies, whilst also coaching operational personnel on health, safety, welfare, and environmental matters.

This role also involved deliver training courses in-house (were qualified to do so) and to contractors working alongside the organization.

This is a crucial role in part of a small but effective SHEQ team working on vital utilities projects.

The ideal candidate will have Health & Safety experience within a construction or civil engineering environment, ideally within utilities and water, and ideally, have knowledge of sewerage network operations. Strong communication experience is required with the ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders.
