A popular well known brand is looking for a UK HSE Manager to lead on health & safety for their warehousing and distribution centre based in Bristol. An exciting brand who are well placed in any home, need an engaging and people-focused health & safety professional to take this function from strength to strength.

Your new role
Reporting into the Senior UK Operations Manager this role will lead the initiatives to build a top quality health & safety function which is positively integrated into the culture of the company. You will be supporting a busy the busy and high functioning distribution centre which runs 24/7 as well as supporting retail and field-based staff. This role will also be responsible for developing strategic safety improvements, providing leadership on site for managing H&S, leading on best practices and providing safety updates and guidance in line with the operational activities taking place.

Leading the site in Bristol you will be an integral part of the HSE committee leading the volunteer safety champions across the functions and working to building a positive culture. You will also lead on compliance, training, performance tracking, reporting and audits.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will need to hold at least the NEBOSH Certificate although the Diploma level qualification would be desirable. You must also have extensive knowledge of H&S legislation and practical experience implementing those within a warehousing/distribution or similar environment. Strategic ability is key as well as the ability to engage with staff across all levels to drive safety standards forward.
