We have been engaged to work exclusively with a reputable Infrastructure Services business who are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the team. This company has a great variety of work that they get involved in and have a passionate Health and Safety culture across the business, making this a great opportunity for candidates who are looking for a new challenge. This position will suit candidates who have both hands-on experience across construction or utilities projects, as well as someone who has a strong technical understanding of ISO accreditations and the importance of developing policies and procedures. The Role:
- Carry out audits and inspections across various sites, primarily within the North East of England but with occasional travel across the UK
- Ensure a positive health and safety culture whilst driving compliance
- Support the HSEQ management team in a new project which aims to update their health and safety management system
- Provide regular reports to the Senior Leadership Team on relevant health and safety KPIs
- Build relationships with colleagues at all levels of the workplace in a positive and engaging way
- Liaise with suppliers and ensure sufficient supply chain management regarding Health and Safety
The Candidate:
- At least 1 year of experience within a Health and Safety position, either within a construction or utilities related environment
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level Health and Safety qualification
- Experience working across sites and projects
- Experience with documentation and management systems
- A collaborative, forward-thinking attitude to health and safety
- Excellent communication and IT skills
