Senior Health & Safety Consultant | South East | Permanent | £55,000 - £60,000 plus package 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Health & Safety professional to join a leading civil engineering company to act as a Health & Safety Consultant for a telecoms/rail project. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of rail legislation and have operated in a client facing environment. The position will be focused working across Berkshire, London, Surrey & Sussex region.

The Role:

  • To support the development of a strong Health and Safety focused culture across the project and promote good safety behaviours
  • Comfortable in engaging in business development/ sales 
  • Understanding partners and supply chain, their contribution and offerings
  • Monitor and measure clients satisfaction
  • To be an expert in Health and Safety legislation and best practice to assist with compliance and continuous improvement
  • To support the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure that the Health and Safety plan and important information is understood and operated by all employees and subcontractors
  • To promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts

    • The Candidate:

  • 5+ years health & safety experience
  • NEBOSHD Diploma or equivalent (NVQ or NCRQ)
  • CMIOSH - Grad IOSH working towards CMIOSH would be acceptable
  • Must have relevant knowledge in rail industry, ideally Network Rail legislation 
  • Strong and effective communicator who can work in a client facing environment
