Are you an experienced SHE Manager with a Manufacturing background looking for a new challenge? A role which will provide you with the opportunity to develop within a forward-thinking environment, whilst working for one of the largest Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies worldwide? 

Then look no further…We have a fantastic opportunity for a SHE Manager.

In this varied role you would be responsible for managing Safety, Health & Environment improvement activities to achieve excellence at the site level. You would work with site Supply Chain teams to develop the local SHE Strategy and improvement plans in order to achieve sustainable SHE excellence by reducing injuries, illnesses and environmental impact as measured in the core KPIs. 

What will my repsonsibilities include? 

·        Deploy the global/cluster SHE strategy, policy and standards in the site to achieve excellent sustainable results   

·        You will ensure Company safety policy, rules and procedures are understood and followed in all areas. 

·        Ensure all incidents are reported and analysed using the proper procedures and resultant actions are implemented. 

·        You will lead incident investigations in the Sourcing Unit when required and ensure that all learnings are cascaded across the factory. 

·        Perform regular audits / safety walkabouts with Management and Leadership Teams, ensuring that all audit actions are completed. 

·        Provide support to Operational and Technical teams in carrying out Risk and COSHH assessments when requested, managing the assessment database and ensure all assessments are current, ensuring they are updated when within the renewal date. 

·        Co-ordinate and facilitate Preliminary Hazard Assessments, advise on the implications of existing and forthcoming National and EU Safety and Environmental legislation on the Unilever Europe manufacturing sites and to recommend methods of implementation.  

·        Manage any Safety incidents which occur on site, and assist in the effective reporting of safety and environmental performance. 

·        Manage on the Company’s behalf Employer Liability and Third Party insurance claims arising from Safety or Environmental incidents and ensure all ISO requirements are adhered to. 

What skills will I need? 

Essential 

·                  Excellent working knowledge of safety, health and environmental legislation and its practical application to Manufacturing environment 

·                  Strong communicator, with demonstrated experience influencing at all levels  

·                  Change agent, focused on continuous improvement with demonstrated results in driving the SHE agenda  

·                  Strong aptitude for solving complex problems 

·                  Demonstrated experience in driving behavioural safety with tangible results 

·                  NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety  

·                  Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management  

·                  Fully trained and competent in carrying out Risk and COSHH Assessments 

·                  Competent in performing Accident analysis 

·                  ISO Lead Auditor 

Preferred 

• Chartered Membership IOSH  

• Experience working in an FMCG / Food / Refreshments environment
