An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading technology and software company to recruit a Global Health, Safety and Environment Manager. This organisation is well-known in their space with circa 4000 employees across 100 countries and are growing rapidly. Reporting to the Global Head of Property, this position is taking a leadership role across the organisation and primarily responsible for maintaining health, safety, and environment performance across the large property portfolio of 80 offices globally.

Although the major focus of the role is on health and safety, the position will also touch on business continuity and sustainability / carbon reporting, as a result experience in these areas would be beneficial.

This position is a one-year fixed term contract.

Responsibilities for the Global Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:

• Engaging with a global network of health and safety champions and key stakeholders, ensuring the continued successful implementation of the safety management system and auditing against this
• Working with a range of colleagues to shape and implement the environmental policy and assist in the delivery of the global carbon reporting programme
• Engage with leaders from across the business to ensure the Business Continuity framework is maintained
• Acting as key point of contact with third party organisations, including enforcement agencies
• Ensuring accurate and timely reporting on health, safety and environmental performance

The successful Global Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role across health and safety with exposure to a major property portfolio, international experience would be ideal however not essential
• Experience with carbon reporting and business continuity (ISO 22301) would be ideal
• Experience operating in extremely fast paced, multi-site complex environments with the ability to prioritise effectively
• A pragmatic and solutions focused outlook with the ability to spot efficiencies across the organisation
• Ideally hold or working towards a NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ 5 /NCRQ Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH

Some European and global travel is expected in this role.
